Over the Summer, Zachariah Thomas' ('17 Music Composition) piece Consolation was premiered by Yoshiaki Horiguchi (Bass Performance '13) and Melissa Thomas (Piano Performance '17) at Bass Works' interactive recital. Bass Works is a week-long workshop for young bassists encompassing masterclasses, workshops, lessons, and a culminating recital held at the end of the program. The workshop runs annually at the Peabody Institute and Yoshiaki serves on the Bassworks faculty.
Congrats to them all on the premiere and performance!
