Ms. Ashley Cuthbertson

Ashley Cuthbertson, M.Ed, NBCT (she/her) is a General Music and Chorus Educator dedicated to culturally responsive, joyful, learner centered music instruction in Northern Virginia. Ashley’s work focuses on designing and implementing culturally responsive and inclusive music instruction that supports students’ understanding of themselves, others, and the world through music.

In addition to her work with K-6 students, she is an Adjunct Faculty member at Loyola University Maryland and the University of Maryland Baltimore County. A Nationally Board Certified Teacher, Ashley holds certification in the Kodály approach and Arts integration. Ashley holds positions in the Virginia Music Educators Association where she serves as Chair of the DEI Council; the Organization of American Kodály Educators where she serves as Eastern Division President-Elect & co-chair of the OAKE Equity Committee; and the Virginia Organization of Kodály Educators where she serves as President.
