Ms. Katie Bogdan is a performer, dramaturg, and arts administrator based in the Baltimore-DC area. She graduated from The Catholic University of America with her Bachelor’s of Music in 2017 and recently completed her graduate studies in Theatre History and Criticism there in December 2021.
Her work as a performer has been seen on a variety of stages, including The Kennedy Center, DAR Constitution Hall, Round House Theatre, the Maryland Renaissance Festival, Prince George’s Shakespeare in the Parks, and Baltimore Shakespeare Factory. As a dramaturg, she has worked with Keegan Theatre, Catholic University, and the Budapest-based Distant Light Laboratory, where she recently assisted in facilitating a bilingual workshop of scenes from Shakespeare’s Titus Andronicus.
In addition to her work at UMBC, she is in the process of researching an article on Elizabethan-era cultural views of death as exemplified through Shakespeare’s Measure for Measure.
