Description
Formed in 2017 by four group members with a shared passion for contemporary music, the ensemble Balance Campaign brings works by living composers to the Baltimore/DC area. Since their debut this summer, their 2017/18 season includes concert series in November, April, and July highlighting music by composers such as Daniel Capo, Steven Mackey, Bill Ryan, and Daniel Kellogg. Their new Spotlight Series also begins this season, showcasing each member in contemporary solo recitals throughout the year. Balance Campaign is also committed to bringing works by emerging artists to life by collaborating with local composers and music programs.
Their program, entitled Echoed Pages: Sounds of Our Past in the Present, features:

- Nico Muhly — Doublespeak
- Dana Wilson — Afterglow
- Michael Torke — Telephone Book
