'Tis The Season! Join us Sunday afternoon, December 15th for the the Heifetz Institute's annual Dorothy and Henry L. Rosenberg, Jr. "Holiday Homcoming" concert in Baltimore - in the spectacular new Linehan Concert Hall, located on the campus of UMBC. the Baltimore-based honors university that is part of the University of Maryland system.

Our all-star cast of Heifetz alumni includes prize-winning artists Angela Chan, Julia Angelov, and Kayleigh Kim, violins; violist Matthew Cohen, cellist Andres Sanchez, and pianist Zhenni Li.

The concert will feature season favorites, dazzling solo works, chamber music masterworks, and some special Yuletide delights. Selections will include Vivaldi's sublime "Christmas" Violin Concerto, Tchaikovsky's captivating Rococo Variations, the Sinfonia from J.S. Bach's Christmas Oratorio, and the magnificent Piano Quintet No. 2 in A Major by Antonín Dvořák. Heifetz performances are invariably among the most talked-about concert events on the holiday concert calendar, so you won't want to miss the dazzling virtuosity and poignant passion of these young Heifetz performers. Hallelujah!

Tickets are $20 general admission; $10 for students, and just $5 to members of the UMBC community (with valid ID), as well as children under 13 accompanied by an adult. Parking is free and plentiful. View the Performing Arts and Humanities Building at UMBC on this printable UMBC campus map.

All proceeds will benefit the Heifetz Institutes's Shenandoah Scholarship Campaign, with a goal of raising $300,000 in scholarship support for students to attend the 2020 Heifetz International Music Institute, taking place at Mary Baldwin University in Staunton, VA from June 25 - August 9, 2020.
