Audition for UMBC's Jubilee Singers and UMBC Gospel Choir

So, do you like spirituals, anthems and gospel songs?  There are currently two choirs that sing this type of music. The UMBC Jubilee Singers (MUSC 304) which meets Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:15-6:30 pm.  and the UMBC Gospel Choir (MUSC 122) which meets on Wednesday evenings at 9:30 p.m. Come and get your mind off those science, math etcetera and do something that will make you feel good from the inside out!  Sing! Sing! Sing!  Yes, we have a great time learning and performing music.  Both Jubilee Singers and Gospel Choir have enjoyed performing on campus at the W.E.B. Dubois lecture sponsored by the Africana Studies department as well as annual concerts in the beautiful Charlestown Chapel located in The Erickson Retirement Community. Both Choirs have toured Italy, The U.S. Virgin Islands, Disney and Vegas.    Last semester, the choirs performed with the UMBC Symphony Orchestra as well as the UMBC Wind Ensemble.  We have lots of great performances coming up!  Please join us.

Auditions for both groups will take place on Wednesday, August 31st and Wednesday, September 7th from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. in the Linehan Concert Hall.  Please contact the Director Janice Jackson (jackson@umbc.edu) if you have a conflict with this date and time.
