When Categories Fail

Examining Debussy and the notion of impressionism, Sharo concludes that reducing an entire composer's output to a single stylistic term does a disservice to not only that composer, but to audiences, "minor" pieces that are ignored or forgotten, and "minor" composers who are not easily categorized.
