UMBC String Day is designed to welcome prospective students to the UMBC Department of Music and showcase the excellence, creativity, and community of the string program. The event provides a blend of performance, interaction, and learning opportunities that:

  • Introduce students to UMBC faculty and facilities.
  • Encourage participation in chamber music and creative collaboration
  • Support recruitment for the 2027–28 academic year
  • Strengthen connections with local music programs and teachers.
