The
Whistling Hens duo, comprised of
Natalie Groom (Affiliate Artist of Clarinet at UMBC) and soprano
Jennifer Piazza-Pick (Assistant Professor of Voice at Queens University of Charlotte) were at the
National Women’s Theatre Festival at NC State presenting “Imposter! Reclaiming Rejection as a Motivating Force.”
In this event, they performed
Thursday by
Ashi Day and
Musical Invective by
Jennifer Stevenson. Together the Hens unpacked ways depersonalize and disarm rejection by way of humor, and reclaimed insults and imposter syndrome as a motivating force to help fellow artists take back their creative joy.
