Thomas Wiggins was a phenomenal musician and composer in the 19th century who had many extraordinary talents. These talents however were often used to exploit the musician from early childhood in different parts of the globe during his lifetime. This blogpost highlights some of the ways in which Wiggins was abused through exploitation, racism, and ableism by white society in the United States and throughout Europe in the 19th century.
