This summer, Dale Gray (Music Composition '21) had the privilege of interning at a budding Christian music publishing company called WorshipNOW. He worked as a music engraver, meaning he entered, edited, and formatted previously written scores for publication. His primary responsibility was digitizing and formatting PDF scores of hymns from composers, but he transcribed unpublished works. Dale describes his internship, "It was so awesome to get feedback from industry leading composers and songwriters on my transcriptions, notations, and formatting. And once they approved, the piece was ready to be published! It was such a great experience, I learned so much, and I enjoyed every moment of it. I hope to someday get a job as a music engraver with some company, if not that one."
